December 2, 2010 New York, NY - LIFE.com becomes the first major photography collection to work with the online personal publishing service, Snapfish by HP. The collaboration will allow consumers to access more than half a million LIFE images and easily enhance personal photo projects or order ready-made LIFE photo-themed gifts at www.snapfish.com/lifestore.
In time for the holiday season, individuals can create their own special gifts - ranging from custom photo books and fine-art prints to cards and notebooks - using their own photos combined with LIFE images. Customers can also purchase ready-made LIFE photo-themed gifts including cards and notebooks.
"LIFE readers now have an exciting way to enjoy the classic images from LIFE.com by printing their favorite photos onto cards, notebooks, mugs and more using the Snapfish platform," said Andy Blau, CEO of LIFE.com. All images on LIFE.com displayed with the "Create Photo Products" button can be incorporated into personal projects through Snapfish. Readers of LIFE.com will be shown this button, which will connect them with a page hosted by Snapfish that identifies the types of products to use with the LIFE photos. All images displayed with the "buy print" button can be purchased as a framed fine art print of canvas.
