Snapfish to power America 24/7 project
Snapfish was selected to provide the technology behind the America 24/7 photo event. From May 12 through May 18, Americans will be invited to chronicle their visions of America in the America 24/7 photo event. Through Snapfish, participants will be able to sign up for the event and submit up to seven photos for review by America 24/7's team of editors. America 24/7 will then publish a series of books, including a 320-page national volume and 50 state volumes, a TV special and a DVD documentary, showcasing selected photos from the event and creating a digital time capsule of American life.
America 24/7 is directed by Rick Smolan and David Elliot Cohen, co-creators of the "Day in the Life" series of photography books.
Interested participants can sign up for the event by going to www.america24-7.com. All photos must be taken between May 12-18. The first book of the America 24/7 series, a national volume, will be released in November.
