Creating Single-Photo Posters
You can create large-scale posters from any of your photos, as long as the photo's resolution is high enough. The recommended resolutions for posters are:

Poster Size Minimum Photo Resolution Required
11" x 14" 1260x990 dpi
12" x 18" 1620x1080 dpi
16" x 20" 1800x1440 dpi
20" x 30" 2700x1800 dpi

If your photo is unsuitable for a poster print, we'll let you know during the creation process. A photo that is too low-resolution will be marked with an orange triangle () next to the thumbnail of the photo. Learn more about photo resolution.

To create a poster print, follow these steps:
  1. Click on the "store" tab, found at the top of most pages.
  2. Follow the "posters" link in the "customer favorites" list at the top left of the store page.
  3. In the "Single-photo posters" box, click the "create a single-photo poster" link.
  4. On the next page, select the photo you want to use from your most recent album. If you'd like to use a photo from a different album, click the "choose another album" link. Once you've picked the photo you want to use, click the "choose this photo" button.

NOTE: If the photo you've selected is too low-resolution to create a quality poster print, there'll be an orange triangle () next to the photo. You can still use this photo to create a poster, but we cannot guarantee that your poster will be of the highest quality without visible pixels.

  5. Select the size and enter the quantity you'd like to order, and then click the "add to cart" button.
  6. In your cart, you can preview, edit, or remove your collage poster. When you're ready to order, click the "check out" button.
All posters are printed with a matte finish.
