The inaugural Bay Area Book Festival was held in Berkeley this weekend, and it was a smashing success! We were thrilled to have a booth along Maker’s Lane to showcase all of our fabulous photo books. It was exciting to connect with fans of all ages, BUILD members, and fellow exhibitors! Read on for highlights from the weekend.
The Snapfish crew and our friends at BUILD presented “Snackers and the Mysterious Search” to little readers and their parents in the children’s reading library. The book, created by the BUILD program in tandem with UC Berkeley Public Service Center and the Bay Area Book Festival, was illustrated by the students and staff of the BUILD program. It follows the story of Snackers the squirrel as he makes his way across the UC Berkeley campus.

It was so fun and rewarding to meet you, our loyal fans! We encouraged you to share your story with us and cheese it up in our photo booth. Visit our Facebook page for all the pics from the weekend. Here are some that we just loved.

Our Snapfish crew worked hard and played hard. Snoopy even made an appearance!

The main attraction at the festival was “Lacuna,” an interactive public art installation of 50,000 books. We scoured the many rounds of shelves and picked up tomes on art, poetry, and fiction.

Relive the fun by visiting Bay Area Book Festival’s Instagram for even more bookish eye-candy. See you next year!
