Photo Resolution for Film We Develop
When we digitize your photos during the film developing process, we produce two types of digital photos: low-resolution (low-res) photos and high-resolution (hi-res) photos. The low-res photos are what you see when you view and share your photos on our website. The hi-res photos are stored in our system and can only be obtained by you through a hi-res download or a Photo CD order. We use these hi-res photos to produce prints, enlargements, Photo CDs, greeting cards, and other personalized photos products that you order through our website. more info on photo resolutions
Photo Resolution for Uploaded Digital Photos
When you upload photos to the Snapfish website, you have two choices:
- Fast Upload
- Large Print Upload
When you choose Fast Upload, we upload a medium-resolution image to your Snapfish account. This size is good for prints of any size, up to 8x10". It's also good for every gift in the Snapfish store. The only product you will not be able to order is poster prints.
When you choose Large Print Upload, we upload a high-resolution image to your Snapfish account. This size is good for everything on the Snapfish site, including poster prints.
Whichever upload you select, we maintain two copies of your photo, one low-resolution and one high-resolution.
